1992 remodeled Skamper 060s

$5,000

1992 skamper 060s. Made for smaller trucks but I’ve used it on my short bed 1/2 ton and loved the ability to close my tailgate. Camper has a lot of recent work done by the previous owner and myself that past 2 years I’ve owned it.

-all new electrical. New converter, all new wiring, new water tank and pump, usb outlets, setup for 2 marine batteries. 100w solar also has battery isolator to charge off truck while driving.
-roof re sealed with northstar metal corners and reinforced wood structure. DOES NOT LEAK
-angle iron framework and custom lift points
-3 brophy jacks with custom work gear winches you can use your drill to raise
-brophy aluminum stairs.
-12v fridge
- always stored inside, I will include the small trailer I used to roll into my garage if asking price is paid.
-bed is brand new custom made and was $350. 30 nights in bed since I’ve owned it. I would be willing to keep the mattress.
-2x6 pallet riser box with storage drawers for 1/2 ton trucks.

Now I wanna be transparent this camper is 30+ years old it is not perfect but has lots of life left. I will list some “Cons” but camper is still in very usable shape. I drove 17 hours to pick it up and I know others may do the same.
-no ac or heat. We always camp in good weather or had 110 available to run a small space heater.
-roof has some hail dents but is solid and doesn’t leak.
-the canvas overall is in good shape but some of the screens were cut out or have small tears. The plastic windows are taped up by the bed but honestly never bothered me and whatever the PO used is stuck for life. All the screens in the lower windows are good.

Overall, this is a solid camper and these 060s are very desirable for midsize trucks. With the new lifting brackets you might still need a small riser box with newer midsize trucks tho. Any questions feel free to ask.

I love this camper but hobbies have changed and the wife has a bad back it’s hard for her to get in and out. I don’t use it as much as I planned with other hobbies like racing take up most my free time. I’d be willing to trade for a small single axle tow behind. Cash on either end depending on condition. Price can be negotiable IN PERSON. with CASH IN HAND. I have a lot more into this than I’m asking.
