unique, rare truck top camper!

$1000 as is! though i'm willing to negotiate as parts of the camper will need love/rebuild. fits toyota '89-94 6' beds & may fit other short bed models as well.

i have lived in this camper on the back of my 94 toyota pickup for the last 3 months in various conditions and it has served me very well. previous owner cruised up & down the coast with it! fits a full length surfboard inside! or a full sized mattress! features i love include the wide doors, over cab storage & homey, wood made feel inside.

headroom is stellar! depending, of course on how you build it out. all windows function well. side windows have screens intact. doors function well with a little love. i've never had an issue with leaking until very recently when the passenger panel split away from the frame. i bolted it back together with lag screws and sealed the edges with flex tape as a temporary fix and it's actually held up fairly well. if i were keeping it, i can imagine a long term fix that would suit. damage to the camper is all highly repairable and by my estimate, inexpensive.

i am selling because i am looking to use my truck bed again for winter projects and ultimately looking for a smaller, lighter solution now that i have a home base! on the whole i'm quite bummed to be parting with this camper. i've searched and searched and haven't found another one quite like it.

although it's a bit bulkier then what i ultimately want, i actually found it to be a nice intermediary between a classic truck topper shell and a full sized truck top camper. it's suited my needs quite well and even performed well & stayed tight on 4wd roads and long highway travel.

i also found it to be very airy/cool in the summer with the windows open and snuggly/toasty in the cold/high elevation when all sealed up. with a little insulation, i think it would actually make a great winter rig for the traveling snowboarder/skier. i've thought about it. (stays warm, room up top for gear) of course, that's up to personal opinion, i may be a little more rugged than some, less than others, see for yourself!

and of course, the look and feel of this vintage camper cannot be beat. it's super cute, i get comments all the time, they're very rare and i'm told highly sought after. have seen others on the road that are similar but never the same.

and this one comes with a custom paint job! and some interior flare (gold wallpaper, sea anemone design!) (but if you want to start over & add your own flare, couple coats of rust-o-oughta do it!)
