I am selling my 1990 Four Wheel Camper Ranger II. This is the same size as a FWC Eagle. I purchased the camper in Fall of 2023, from the 2nd owner. Here are some highlights:
Completely gutted and renovated the interior:
o R-Matte rigid foam board insulation installed throughout.
o Stained and clear coat tongue and groove wood paneling throughout.
o Completely redid all weather sealing on windows, siding, the original vents for the old fridge, etc.
o Painted and resealed the base floor
o New flooring
o Roof insulation and wiring for fans and lights redone.
o New marine headliner (purchased from ATC)
o Brand new sideliner from ATC (All Terrain Campers)
Refreshed the exterior:
o Removed roof rack (leaking hazard) and resealed roof with all new screws, sealant, and lap sealant over the top. Patched the holes with left over roof material I cut out for the 2nd fan.
o Roll-on bedliner on the bottom wood frame of the camper. Seals it well and weather resistant.
o I purposefully did not paint the exterior, the camper siding is in great shape for its age and keeps the vintage look well. That being said there are some small scratches and dings typical for a 35 year old camper.
o Installed gas struts on front and rear to assist with popping up the roof.
o Replaced and sealed nearly every single screw on this camper.
o No leaks!
Rebuilt the door:
o New foam insulation, interior frame, sliding tinted window, door handle and lock.
Replaced roof vent with Maxxair dual direction fan and added a 2nd fan above the bed to help with cooling. Works really well to have one fan pushing air out and the other pulling air in.
New latches all around.
New 10 gallon water tank
o Plumbed to sink
o Water pump and tank level indicator installed.
o Drain installed by the door, can use to fill water bottles, dog bowls, etc, without opening the cab or turning on the pump.
Electrical:
o 200W Renogy Solar Panel
o 50A MPPT DC-DC Charger
o 100Ah Li Time LiPO4 battery
o Renogy battery monitoring station
- Still need shunt to properly monitor battery discharge, but you get the battery voltage, solar voltage, alternator voltage, charging current, etc.
o Installed 2nd light outside.
o Multiple USB-C and regular USB chargers.
o 120VAC outlet shore power hookup.
o Quick 12V connect wired outside to connect the truck alternator to the MPPT charger.
o Engel 65L Fridge. Works very well and barely consumes any energy. I specifically bought this fridge for this reason. I can run this fridge all day camping in AZ and the solar will keep up with it and keep the batteries charged without using the truck alternator.
Custom cabinets built to maximize space in the cab and storage.
Includes:
o Cushions, they can be rearranged to fill the bed to a full queen size.
o Camper jacks.
o Rain window covers for the sideliner outside.
o Collapsable water jug for gray water, hoses, etc.
o Retractable ratchet straps for mounting to truck.
- Also have the original turnbuckles.
There is no furnace in this camper, I have a Wave 3 Olympian catalytic propane heater I will include with purchase. It works well and does not consume much propane.
Price: $13,000 including the Engel 65L fridge, $12,000 without the fridge.
Selling because I am going a different direction with my overlanding and investing more into my 80 series land cruiser.
