I built this camper this summer. The entire frame is redwood, and the entire outside is cedar. The roof is 3/4 birch ply and corrugated plastic. The storage on top was built ontop of the previous flat roof also lined with corrugated plastic. The entire build is held together with gorilla glue clear epoxy and high quality screws. Weather tight, no leaks at all. You will see in person how much epoxy I used to ensure the longevity and overall durability. Everything got epoxy before screwed together. Lots of love was put into this project. The sides and rear all swing open and have tight seals when shut. Extremely sturdy and will last a long time. It was built to secure to the inner bed rails on a Tacoma 6ft bed but can be modified to fit any 6ft bed. I’m using 6 facets, three on each side to secure to bed rail like any shell uses.
